Elna McIntosh has a PhD in Human Sexuality. She studied at Wits and in the USA, at the Institute of Advanced Studies of Human Sexuality, in San Francisco, California where she still returns every October to lecture an Advance course in HIV / AIDS and STI's and is also a mentor for the External Program. She is a founder member and the current President of the Sub Saharan Africa Society for Sexual Health Advisors, Educators, Researchers and Therapists (SSASSERT). She has facilitated workshops since 1990 and presently works in Sub Saharan Africa. She has a private practice in Johannesburg, using different modalities to facilitate the self-development process.
